In most cases, no. While mass-produced soft lenses often fail with advanced astigmatism, custom RGP, hybrid, scleral, and piggyback lens systems are designed to fit your exact eye topography and can correct even highly complex prescriptions. Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation of your eyes and ocular surface, corneal mapping, and diagnostic lens trials to see how different designs perform on your eyes.
